With this being the season of giving and thankfulness, I think it's only fitting I talk a bit about what I'm grateful for this year. Of course, I'm incredibly thankful for my family as a whole. But, there are a few particular furry family members I greatly appreciate; my four sweet kitties, Zen, Kash, Karma, and Bell. I believe that fur babies aren't talked about as much when it comes to this sort of feeling, so I just want to say how my cats have made a difference in everyday life for me.
Do you typically celebrate Thanksgiving with your fur babies? If so, what do you do to make the day special for them? Do you prepare them a grand Thanksgiving themed meal? Do they get showered in even more love and affection than usual? I’m wondering because the American Thanksgiving holiday is coming up very quickly.
I know we still have a while to go until Halloween, but I'm just wondering, do you dress up your pets for the occasion? Or have you ever done so? I'd love to put cute costumes on my kitties, but they would be so mad, haha. It's super fun to think about different costume themes and ideas for the cats, though.
I'm a bit late with this, since Remember Me Thursday was yesterday, September 24. But, I think the mission of this movement is one that's very important all year round. So, I'd like to take a moment to talk about exactly what that goal is and share my own adoption stories.
Last week, we had to take one of our kitties to the vet. It doesn't matter what the visit is for; it could be for a routine checkup or a round of vaccinations, and I'd still worry to no end. We've been fortunate enough that we haven't had to take our cats to the vet very often, and they're all typically in fair health. But, I think it's more the possibility that something could be wrong. It's the chance that the veterinarian will discover a health issue, or that something will go wrong during the visit.
