I know many of us have had to deal with teasing and harassment over the hobbies we dearly love. People may say you're "too old" to participate in certain hobbies. They may accuse you of being silly and childish for doing so. But, just remember, you should never feel ashamed of your hobbies. They are part of you and make up who you are as a person. Don't feel ashamed, embarrassed, or sorry for the things you love. Continue doing what you love, always.
You may feel like all your hard work doesn't count towards anything. You may think your hobbies are unproductive and a waste of time. But, your hobbies are completely valid as long as you enjoy them. Something doesn't have to be productive to be worthwhile. And although it may not always feel like it, your work is appreciated. Somewhere in the world, there are people who care about what you do and the effort you put into it. Just remember, the things you do, the hobbies you enjoy, and the work you create, it all matters.
Well, I'm 23 years old today! I'm grateful just to be alive right now. And I'm looking forward to having a nice, relaxing day at home with my family! I'm hoping to do some activities I enjoy too, like reading and playing video games. However the day goes, I'm just happy to be here with my family and friends.
There are still so many parts of life to treasure and appreciate. So, please, don't give up. Hold onto the normal things you still have, and wait for better times to come. This will not be out forever.
