Today is Memorial Day, a somewhat somber occasion. It's a time to honor and mourn those who have died while serving in the military and protecting us citizens. These brave, courageous people sacrificed themselves in order to protect others. They fought for a cause they believed in. They're amazing and truly deserve to be honored for all they have done.
I've been so blessed to have some wonderful maternal figures in my life. They've taught me many lessons over the years, like how to be strong, and how to stick up for myself. Those same women have nurtured me with endless love and care, molding me into the person I am today.
There are still so many parts of life to treasure and appreciate. So, please, don't give up. Hold onto the normal things you still have, and wait for better times to come. This will not be out forever.
I'm incredibly grateful to have my cats. They're so adorable and constantly brighten my day with their precious personalities. Just seeing my kitties wander around the house warms my heart. I love falling asleep or waking up with them cuddled beside me. Regardless of the current situation, those parts of life remain. There are still countless things to treasure and look forward to.
We may not be completely satisfied in life, but it's important to value what we do have. Doing so allows us to acknowledge and appreciate the positive things, which typically outweigh the negative ones greatly. In turn, this leads to a more healthy, positive mindset all the time.
