Yay, it's a new year! We've finally done away with 2020, and have moved into a new, hopefully much better year. I know there's still much to overcome and change as we finally go into 2021, but I'm holding onto hope that this year will be very different, in a good way, of course. Although I'm hoping for many things to change this year, there are also some I wish to stay the same. For example, my fur babies!
This post is part of the Blog Brew, a monthly collaboration between seven other amazing bloggers and myself where we cover various topics each month. Very fitting with the month of December, our current theme is 'Christmas'. As such, we all have posts full of holiday cheer that are sure to make your Christmas celebrations more merry and joyful this year!
I know my Feline Friday posts are typically on the lighter, carefree side, but today, I'd like to talk about a more serious issue. With both the fall season and Halloween quickly approaching, I feel it's an important one to address. You know that old superstition about black cats bringing misfortune if you cross their path? Please, please, don't buy into that. They're sweet, precious, and beautiful creatures that deserve to be treated with love, kindness, and respect. Like any other domestic animal, they deserve to have loving forever homes, with humans who will always care for and protect them.
It may feel like your voice isn't being heard, like you as an individual don't matter in the scope of the world. Just know this. You do matter as a person, and your voice matters. You being here does make a difference in the world.
You, as you are in this very moment, are more than enough, and that will not change. You’ll always be a special, unique person who is worthwhile and deserving of all the best in life. Remember, you deserve to be here, living life the way you choose to.
