For today, I have two slightly different versions of the same poem! The first version is a haiku, while the second is a tanka poem. As such, they are of differing length, and phrases/words have been added and rearranged in each poem. However, I wrote both based on the same theme and ideas.
Sea of butterflies, Crimson wings flutter, a lure For wandering souls
Snow white and crimson red, Lucid shades of color bleeding together A stark contrast between My flesh and your fangs
Connected by the crimson thread Of an unknown fate, Two souls tethered as one, But separated by the world
