  • Monday Motivation #44

    September 21, 2020 by

Head out the door with a smile and a sparkle in your eye. Because you’ve got this. This is going to be a wonderful day. Even if everything doesn’t go quite as you planned or hoped, make the most of this day. For each day is both a blessing and a chance for you to shine.

  • CIB Sunday #14 – ‘White Day: A Labyrinth Named School’

    September 20, 2020 by

‘White Day: A Labyrinth Named School,’ for Android, iOS, PC, and PlayStation 4, is actually a remake of the original ‘White Day’ video game from 2001. Although I didn’t have a chance to play the original, I happened to see the remake available on Amazon for pre-order one day. I was immediately intrigued; I was so drawn in by the game’s description and screenshots. Plus, we don’t have a ton of Asian horror video games being localized for overseas audiences, so it’s always great to see a new one. So, I just had to pre-order the game, and I’m so glad I did!

  • Feline Friday #43 – A Message about Black Cats

    September 18, 2020 by

I know my Feline Friday posts are typically on the lighter, carefree side, but today, I’d like to talk about a more serious issue. With both the fall season and Halloween quickly approaching, I feel it’s an important one to address. You know that old superstition about black cats bringing misfortune if you cross their path? Please, please, don’t buy into that. They’re sweet, precious, and beautiful creatures that deserve to be treated with love, kindness, and respect. Like any other domestic animal, they deserve to have loving forever homes, with humans who will always care for and protect them.

    September 14, 2020 by

Please don’t be upset with people for not responding right away. Things are very, very hard right now, and all of us are being affected differently. Please be understanding and patient with your loved ones. Please show them respect, kindness, and love. The world needs these things now more than ever before.

  • The Blame Game

Point your finger and blame another again,
It’s a twisted game you only play to win

  • Feline Friday #42 – Merry Band of Bug Hunters!

    September 11, 2020 by

To all those who have fur babies, I’m just wondering, do they go after any and every bug they find? I ask this because my kitties always go wild whenever they find an insect in the house, especially flying ones. The day turns from peaceful to our cats stampeding around all over the house and us frantically trying to shield our faces as we inevitably get caught in the crossfire.

  • Happy Labor Day!

    September 7, 2020 by

Be one of the reasons that an employee smiles today, and any other day you happen to be around workers. Make sure they know they’re truly appreciated, that they’re more than just their job. And remember, whether you’re a crafter, artist, author, teacher, clerk, waiter/waitress, banker, or something else, you are seen and appreciated. Thank you for all the work you do.

  • Monday Motivation #42

    September 7, 2020 by

You may feel like all your hard work doesn’t count towards anything. You may think your hobbies are unproductive and a waste of time. But, your hobbies are completely valid as long as you enjoy them. Something doesn’t have to be productive to be worthwhile. And although it may not always feel like it, your work is appreciated. Somewhere in the world, there are people who care about what you do and the effort you put into it. Just remember, the things you do, the hobbies you enjoy, and the work you create, it all matters.

  • CIB Sunday #13 – ‘Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon’

    September 6, 2020 by

I’m a huge fan of the original ‘Luigi’s Mansion’ game for GameCube. It’s one of my all time favorites on any game system, and I truly never tire of playing it. I enjoyed the 3DS port of it immensely as well. This title was a significant part of my childhood; I played it for hours and hours, even coming back to replay the entire game a few different times. So, I was super excited for ‘Dark Moon’ to come out! But, did the game hold up to my high expectations?

  • Feline Friday #41 – A Feline Word Jumble!

    September 4, 2020 by

For today’s Feline Friday post, I decided to do something a bit different! I recently discovered an awesome graphic design website called Stencil, and since then, I’ve been creating all kinds of little activity sheets. So, I made a special word jumble just for Feline Friday!

  • Monday Motivation #40

    August 24, 2020 by

Don’t compare other people’s productivity and progress to your own. Both are going to be different for different people. Don’t feel bad because you’re seemingly not accomplishing as much as others. We all have to navigate life in our way, at our own pace. Do that in a way that’s comfortable and right for you.

  • CIB Sunday #12 – ‘Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked’

    August 23, 2020 by

‘Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked’ is actually a port of the ‘Devil Survivor’ DS game from 2009. The original was widely considered to be a great RPG video game, and the port version provides several enhancements upon it. Some of these improvements include new voice-acting and a brand new eighth chapter to explore. The game was well-received enough to warrant a 3DS port with new features, so you may be wondering, what exactly makes ‘Devil Survivor’ so good? Well, there are a few key reasons.

  • Feline Friday #39 – Boxes, Bags, or Pet Beds!?

    August 21, 2020 by

How many of us have bought fancy, expensive pet beds for our fur babies, just for them to completely ignore the actual bed in favor of random boxes and bags? Because I’ve definitely experienced this, and many times, at that. I’ve honestly lost count of all the pet beds we’ve bought over the years. I don’t even remember where some of them are, at this point.

  • Blog Update and Explanation

    August 15, 2020 by

I’m so sorry I haven’t been very active this week! I haven’t been able to keep up with my regular blog schedule, as quite a few things converged at the beginning of the week to make that difficult. On Monday, a powerful storm hit the Midwest region of America. Because of the storm and its fallout, I wasn’t able to post at all up until now. So, as you can imagine, my blog schedule went really awry this week. No Monday Motivation post (although I did have one written up), no Feline Friday feature, and no poetry.

  • CIB Sunday #11 – ‘Virtue’s Last Reward’

    August 2, 2020 by

‘Virtue’s Last Reward’ is the second installment in the hit ‘Zero Escape’ trilogy and is a follow-up to ‘Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors’. Out of all the 3DS games in my collection, ‘Virtue’s Last Reward’ is definitely one of my favorites. I loved the first ‘Zero Escape’ title, and the sequel certainly didn’t disappoint. There are many reasons why ‘Virtue’s Last Reward’ is such a great game; I’ll be touching on just a few of the most important ones throughout this post.

  • Feline Friday #37 – Take a Cue from Cats!

    August 1, 2020 by

Cats are the masters of relaxation, as they spend most days basking in the sunlight, eating, and sleeping. Sometimes, we need to take a cue from the kitties around us and do as they do. Take a day or two just for yourself. Spend that time soaking up the sun by taking a nice walk around the neighborhood or just sunbathing in the yard at home. Use the day for cat naps and binging Netflix on the couch.

    July 20, 2020 by

Your progress might seem small; it might be exponential. But, the important thing is that you’re making progress. You’re putting in the time and effort to better your life, no matter what form that improvement might take. Always remember that you’re doing great and progressing at a pace that suits you.

  • CIB Sunday #10 – ‘Silent Hill: Homecoming’

    July 19, 2020 by

My first foray with ‘Silent Hill’ was through its sixth game, ‘Silent Hill: Homecoming.’ Even though I’d heard a lot about the series, I didn’t really know what to expect from ‘Homecoming.’ It ended up being a terrifying, engrossing, and enjoyable experience for me. It gets a bad rap from some fans, but I’m glad ‘Homecoming’ was my introduction to the series.

  • No Longer Deadweight

    July 18, 2020 by

This poem was inspired by one of my favorite games from 2019, “Devil May Cry V.” I loved just about every aspect of this game; the characters, story, gameplay, controls, etc.
