  • Feline Friday #34 – Kitties and Their Unique Personalities!

    July 10, 2020 by

I find it really interesting how cats interact with different people and animals. Of course, kitties have unique personalities and traits, just like humans do. But, they respond to different people in such a wide range of ways.

Always do what is right. Make decisions and choose words you truly believe in. Even when other people try to convince you otherwise, follow your heart and do what you know is right.

  • CIB Sunday #9 – ‘Yo-kai Watch’

    July 5, 2020 by

So, what makes ‘Yo-kai Watch’ such a good video game? A great many things! The Yo-kai designs are cute, original, and oftentimes, clever. The combat system is surprisingly strategic and requires a lot of thought, especially with boss battles. The game’s sense of humor is fun and leads to many great moments. Both children and adults will be able to connect with it. Now, let’s delve deeper into what makes ‘Yo-kai Watch’ a great video game!

  • Feline Friday #33 – Kitties and Fireworks!

    July 3, 2020 by

I think fireworks are beautiful, and I enjoy seeing them. However, the noise they make is very very loud. And my cats really don’t like loud, sudden noises. Needless to say, the Fourth of July isn’t their favorite holiday.

  • Blog Update and Schedule Changes

    June 29, 2020 by

I will still post on a regular basis and keep the blog active. I’m going to do that on a smaller scale, though. I’m thinking that I’ll aim for four to five posts a week and see how that works. I definitely want to keep my feature posts, including Monday Motivation, Feline Friday, and CIB Sunday. That should leave room for one to two poetry posts every week.

  • Monday Motivation #33

    June 29, 2020 by

Do your part to spread kindness and make the world a better place. It may not seem like these simple steps can do much, but treating people with respect and consideration can do wonders. Positive actions like these have an infinite amount of power and possibility behind them.

  • Feline Friday #32 – Just Zen and Her Fish!

    June 26, 2020 by

I looked over to see Zenny in a deep sleep with her head resting on an orange fish toy. She looked so peaceful and relaxed laying like that; it was incredibly endearing! It was a simple, but sweet moment to start the morning with, and it helped brighten my day. I hope these pictures of Zen can brighten your day, too!

  • Monday Motivation #32

    June 22, 2020 by

You, as you are in this very moment, are more than enough, and that will not change. You’ll always be a special, unique person who is worthwhile and deserving of all the best in life. Remember, you deserve to be here, living life the way you choose to.

  • CIB Sunday #8 – ‘Eternal Sonata’

    June 21, 2020 by

‘Eternal Sonata’ is a role-playing (RPG) video game developed by Tri-Crescendo and published by BANDAI NAMCO. It was made exclusively for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, with many unique mechanics and systems never before used in RPG video games. The official description of this game also mentions that ‘Eternal Sonata’ was created to be the RPG game fans and next-gen gamers had been waiting for. So, does it live up to that promise? I would say so.

  • Feline Friday #31 – Crab Kitties?!

    June 19, 2020 by

If you’ve ever shopped on Amazon for cat products, you may have seen various Kitan Club Cat Caps for sale. They’re basically little bonnet-like hats for your kitties to wear, and they come in a blind box, or mystery, format. Well, I’ve been eyeing these bonnets for a long time now, and I finally decided to take the plunge and buy one (much to the chagrin of my cats). I chose to go with Kitan Club’s “Aquarium” series.

I just want to thank you for all the birthday wishes I received last week! I got such kind, considerate messages, and they helped make my day even brighter. I truly appreciate all the kind words.

  • Monday Motivation #31

    June 15, 2020 by

Remember to look out for one another. These are tough times, and as people, one of the best things we can possibly do is support each other. Be kind. Raise each other up, rather than tear each other down.

  • The Portrait

    June 13, 2020 by

The picture rests atop a pristine ivory canvas,
Strokes of ebony ink rippling across its surface,
Shallow raven black streams that weave together
An ornate portrait of a not so distant past
Within its little hidden details, the story
Of a once happy family slowly unravels

  • I’m 23 Years Old Today!

    June 9, 2020 by

Well, I’m 23 years old today! I’m grateful just to be alive right now. And I’m looking forward to having a nice, relaxing day at home with my family! I’m hoping to do some activities I enjoy too, like reading and playing video games. However the day goes, I’m just happy to be here with my family and friends.

  • Monday Motivation #30

    June 8, 2020 by

Remember, it’s always okay to take a break if you need to. Taking care of your personal health and well-being is very, very important; that should always come first. If you need to take a step back from social media, if you need to tune out of the news, if you need to just take a moment for yourself, then feel free to do so.

  • CIB Sunday #7 – ‘Resident Evil 5’

    May 31, 2020 by

Without a doubt, ‘Resident Evil 5’ is truly a memorable, enjoyable experience, one that sets itself apart from the series’ other titles. It’s a worthwhile game to try, especially in co-op mode, for many reasons. Due to its fantastic integration of co-op, smooth combat and gameplay, likeable characters, and highly suitable soundtrack, ‘Resident Evil 5’ is a must-play of the long-running series.

  • Love with Your Heart

    May 30, 2020 by

Love doesn’t have to be romantic,
    It can be platonic, familial,
    Any kind at all
As long as there are multiple hearts involved,
And they beat for the sake of one another,
    That is true love

  • ‘Ivy in Bloom’ Book Review

    The last letter she sent,
It called you to the lonely place
    She once called home
It spoke of tender love, sacred things,
    And promises shared

  • Memorial Day

    May 25, 2020 by

Today is Memorial Day, a somewhat somber occasion. It’s a time to honor and mourn those who have died while serving in the military and protecting us citizens. These brave, courageous people sacrificed themselves in order to protect others. They fought for a cause they believed in. They’re amazing and truly deserve to be honored for all they have done.

  • Monday Motivation #28

    May 25, 2020 by

Always be true to yourself, who you are as a person. The people who really care about you will appreciate you for who you are, no matter what. So feel free to stay true to yourself and flaunt how amazing you are.

  • Crimson Gate (Version 1 and 2)

    May 23, 2020 by

For today, I have two slightly different versions of the same poem! The first version is a haiku, while the second is a tanka poem. As such, they are of differing length, and phrases/words have been added and rearranged in each poem. However, I wrote both based on the same theme and ideas.

  • Feline Friday #27 – Zen’s Story!

    May 22, 2020 by

I talked a bit about Zen’s background in my introductory Feline Friday post, but I didn’t really go in depth with all that she went through. So today, I want to share Zen’s story, and all that she’s overcome throughout the years.

Strive for the impossible, because believing is the first step to achieving. Chase your dreams until you catch them; determination and persistence can do amazing things. Overall, don’t give up on the aspects of life that are seemingly unachievable. You never know what you can accomplish until you try.
