Won’t Fall Again

Look me in the eyes and lie

Silver tongue spews grand, gorgeous lies,

Dressing them up to appear

As something they’re not

Spin your web of deceit,

The flimsy ivory strands cascading

And connecting each betrayal together

Break my trust over and over again

Plunge your razor sharp dagger

Into my unsuspecting heart,

Scarlet blood dribbling down

Do it again without a second thought

Look me in the eyes and lie once again

The child you believed to be foolish and naive

Won’t fall for it this time
