With everything going on in the world right now, things have been very stressful and anxiety-inducing for most of us. Those negative emotions can build up and build up, to the point they impact our mental health and quality of life. As such, we need to pay more attention to our mental, emotional, and physical health than ever before.
Cats are the masters of relaxation, as they spend most days basking in the sunlight, eating, and sleeping. Sometimes, we need to take a cue from the kitties around us and do as they do. Take a day or two just for yourself. Spend that time soaking up the sun by taking a nice walk around the neighborhood or just sunbathing in the yard at home. Use the day for cat naps and binging Netflix on the couch. Indulge in a decadent meal; it could be a favorite food or one that you rarely get to have.
The point here is that you need to do things that make a positive difference in the various aspects of your health. This is especially important now with the tough times we’re all experiencing. Focus on self-care and take time to treat yourself when you need it. From time to time, we all need to follow a cat’s example and take things easy. You could even spend a day napping and cuddling with your kitties!
