Imaginary Label

Picture created through Canva

To you, it’s just an imaginary construct,

The fleeting concern of a foolish child

You don’t see what you refuse to believe,

Dismissing anything that might be inconvenient

All you see is nothing, never acknowledging anything

After all, it’s easier to pretend everything is okay

If it placates you, then where’s the harm?

Even if it leaves another suffering,

Believing they’re entirely alone with no one to rely on

If you don’t address that it’s real,

Then surely, everything will be fine

But pain doesn’t simply dissipate,

Even if you label it as imaginary
