Deception

Photo by Oleg Magni on Pexels.com

Lies effortlessly blend with truth

When they fall from your deceptive lips

A soft voice murmurs in my ear,

Sickly saccharine sweet

It spews hollow words and empty promises

Of an unattainable future,

Buried in the citrine ashes

Of a past that once was

Your verbal trails of coal black ink

Hold nothing but ruin for me anymore

Keep that petty destruction to yourself

      1. Hi! I’ve still been receiving your messages, but it says you’re unavailable on Messenger. So, I can’t respond back. I didn’t want you to think I was ignoring you or anything! I just can’t respond there. At least, we can always talk on here! 🌼

      2. I’m your friend! But, Messenger isn’t allowing me to respond right now. It doesn’t even give me the option to type in our chat thread. It just says you’re unavailable on Messenger. I’m really sorry about that! I’d like to talk to you, too!

      1. Thank you so very much, Vincent! I’m incredibly grateful for all the support and encouragement! And you’re right. I need to try my best and put my heart into every single post. Like a flower, I’m sure my blog will blossom. Thanks again! 😀🌼
