Ebony Ink

Within the depths of darkness,
I slowly descend,
Sinking as my eyes flutter
Into a restless slumber
Plunged into ebony ink,
It coats my flesh,
Seeping to crisp white bone
Layers upon layers of night,
Despair soaks deep
Entombed in a lonely world,
I silently suffer,
Victim to a darkness I can’t shake
