Beautiful Flower’s Curse

My Inspiration

This poem was inspired by the story-driven adventure video game, Witch’s Heart. I really like the story of this game, and how it ultimately unfolds. It immediately pulled me in. And one day, I decided to write a piece based off of it. That’s how this particular poem came to be.

An azure flower,
Lovely, so beautiful
Amidst a mansion of horrors,
She slowly blooms
An eternal curse,
Repressed desires,
Festering pain,
An undying love
Rooted in steadfast loyalty
Destined to wilt,
The flower expires
Again and again
Aqua petals loosening,
Drifting down to the
Blood soaked killing ground
Executed for the sake
Of a single wish,
Cruelty without bounds
Tell me, are you willing
To kill,
For your deepest wish?
