There are fur babies who cuddle with their humans any chance they get, there are lap cats and dogs, and there are pets who would sooner claw you than rest with you. So I'm wondering, what are your babies like? Do you have only cuddlers, pets who never want to cuddle, or a mix of both? With my kitties, there's quite a variety!
The memories I hold of you linger in my head like a phantom, forever haunting my dreams and stealing restless sleep.
New year finally Begins, troubled souls reborn, Chance to start anew
This is your year. You can and will meet all your goals for it. Believe in yourself and have faith that you can do anything you set your mind to. You are capable of so much, and hold limitless potential within you. Know and believe that this year will be your best one yet.
Crimson goddess screams her fury, Scarlet flames flaring from the frigid ground And lapping at the gold washed skyline
I absolutely love the sound of my kitties running about the house, dashing after various toys, playing with one another, and meowing all the while. Those are such wonderful noises, ones that always brighten my day and make life better. This is a bit of a sad story, but I didn't realize how much I'd miss those noises until my family and I lost Romeo, our senior cat of 17 years.
Now that we've entered a brand new year, many of us acknowledge that 2020 wasn't exactly the best year, and want this one to be a much brighter, more positive one. And I'm here to tell you we can absolutely make that happen. We're capable of following our dreams, of making the seemingly impossible happen. So, without a doubt, we can come back from the dark, depressing time that was 2020. Let's work alongside one another to ensure 2021 is a better year for all of us. We can do it together!
More alcohol to patch the lonely emptiness that permeates, A desperate attempt to chase a cheap high Crash and burn into flaming shards of ruin Suffer the children It doesn't matter anymore
Yay, it's a new year! We've finally done away with 2020, and have moved into a new, hopefully much better year. I know there's still much to overcome and change as we finally go into 2021, but I'm holding onto hope that this year will be very different, in a good way, of course. Although I'm hoping for many things to change this year, there are also some I wish to stay the same. For example, my fur babies!
This week marks the beginning of a new year, which I think many of us are really looking forward to. In that spirit, let's all look forward to the future and what it holds in store for us. It will be better than the last one. It will have great things in store for you and your loved ones. Break free from the negativity of this year and move into 2021 full of positivity and hope.
It isn't the most recent release from the series, but 'Pokemon Moon' is the newest game I've played to date. After all these years and multiple games, you may wonder if their quality has decreased somewhat. However, I think 'Moon' still retains the magic and fun of the original 'Pokemon' video games, while introducing fresh mechanics and putting its own unique spin on the usual journey. Somehow, each 'Pokemon' title manages to be just as engrossing and interesting as the last, even after so many different games. Today, I'm going to go over what I loved about my experience with 'Pokemon Moon.'
One of my favorite parts of Christmas day each year is getting to see how my kitties react to it. This has always been one of the most memorable aspects for me. Christmas is definitely an exciting day for us humans, but I think it's even more so for fur babies, and judging from my own cats, this is most certainly the case.
Merry Christmas, and happy holidays to all!! I know this holiday season, and just this year in general, hasn't been exactly what we expected or hoped for. For many of us, it's been a year of ups and downs, of disappointment and sorrow. But, there are still so many aspects of life that make it beautiful and joyful. And I think Christmas is one of the best occasions to focus on the positive parts of life. Even in a year like 2020, it's a time to feel and embrace joy, a time to concentrate on those we love most, and to spread kindness across the world.
Prepare a plate of the finest salmon treats Curl up and fall into peaceful dreams without a pout For Santa Paws is coming to town
That glimmer within, Free it so the world can see The beauty you hold
Innocence shed in the bleak realization Of a night without end
Christmas preparation also includes a lot of wrapping paper, packaging, plastic, and other knick knacks for the kitties to play with. To be honest, the cats aren't very helpful with those preparations; their main contributions are tearing up wrapping paper, biting at scissors for said paper, and trying to eat ribbons. But, it's always nice to see them have so much fun!
Look me in the eyes and lie once again The child you believed to be foolish and naive Won't fall for it this time
Remember that it's always okay to ask for help. There is no shame or defeat in needing the help of others. So when the burden you're carrying becomes too much for you to bear alone, please ask those around you for help and guidance. We all need a bit of help every now and then.
Some days, I want to shrink in on myself, To become nothing, A monster, And forget everything
Hey, all! I hope you're doing well and staying safe! This is just a quick update to let you know that I'm pushing back today's CIB Sunday feature to next week. So, the next post from this series will go live on December 20.
This week, my family and I are in quarantine after being exposed to the terrible virus that shall not be named here. Accordingly, my anxiety has been off the charts lately, worrying about myself, my family, and us developing symptoms. But, our kitties are here with us, too. And as usual, they make everything better!
Melancholy fills Depths of my soul, hollow shell Emptiness abounds
Things may be difficult right now. But, we have to keep fighting and persevering from one day to the next. We have to stay strong for our family members, friends, and other loved ones. We have to stay strong for ourselves. We have to keep fighting for the better days waiting ahead.
This endless cycle Pleading that others listen Cries echo unheard
This post is part of the Blog Brew, a monthly collaboration between seven other amazing bloggers and myself where we cover various topics each month. Very fitting with the month of December, our current theme is 'Christmas'. As such, we all have posts full of holiday cheer that are sure to make your Christmas celebrations more merry and joyful this year!
Several days ago, I realized it had been a while since I made a post with downloadable goodies for you to complete. So, I decided to change that! With December having started and Christmas being just a few weeks away, I figured the holiday would be a great topic for a new word jumble. Of course, there’s a bit of feline flair to this one as well!
Carry hope within Your valiant heart, keep it lit, Gleaming in darkness
Even if you're having a bad day or going through tough times, please don't lose hope. For tomorrow is always a brand new day. A new day that is rife with potential, opportunity, and joy. Life can certainly be difficult at times, but reassure yourself with the knowledge that there will always be better days ahead. Remember, tomorrow is a new day, and another chance to make the most out of life.
The Evil Within is absolutely one of my favorite video games of all time. It was the first game I ever played on the PlayStation 4 system, and for that, it will also forever have a special place in my heart. I still have very fond memories of this title, but my attachment to it isn't just a result of sentimentality. There are a great many reasons why this particular game is so good, and I'll be going over some of the main reasons today.
With this being the season of giving and thankfulness, I think it's only fitting I talk a bit about what I'm grateful for this year. Of course, I'm incredibly thankful for my family as a whole. But, there are a few particular furry family members I greatly appreciate; my four sweet kitties, Zen, Kash, Karma, and Bell. I believe that fur babies aren't talked about as much when it comes to this sort of feeling, so I just want to say how my cats have made a difference in everyday life for me.
Today marks the American Thanksgiving holiday, so happy Thanksgiving! I know, for many of us, we won't be able to spend this holiday as we normally would. But, I hope we can all make the most of it and still have a wonderful day full of joy and warmth. However you're spending the day, please do so in a safe way. Let's all take care and stay safe through the holiday season!
No matter how difficult life becomes, There is always so much to love and appreciate Be grateful today and focus on all the little joys That make this beautiful life infinitely worthwhile
Today, let's all take a moment to consider the parts of life we're thankful for. It's true that we will always encounter obstacles and hardships throughout life, but even on our worst days, and in the toughest times, there are so many things to give thanks for. Just to be alive and breathing is such an amazing experience, and a wonderful opportunity. We can choose to dwell on the negative parts of life, or we can concentrate on those that are positive and enrich our lives.
Tears won't wash away reality The greyscale world still remains
Hi, again! I promised to keep you updated about my next CIB Sunday post and upcoming ones. So, here's that update!
Resting among the scattered auburn leaves, I dread how the seasons fade like old friends Once here, then suddenly gone
Do you typically celebrate Thanksgiving with your fur babies? If so, what do you do to make the day special for them? Do you prepare them a grand Thanksgiving themed meal? Do they get showered in even more love and affection than usual? I’m wondering because the American Thanksgiving holiday is coming up very quickly.
To strike that ever elusive ember Into existence once again Wrenching me from all-consuming melancholy, Let this hollow spark of mine burn free
It's okay to take a break if you need one. Sometimes, we just need a bit of time to relax, rest, and refresh. This is necessary for all aspects of our health and well-being. Powering through mental, emotional, or physical exhaustion can easily lead to burn out and make our overall well-being even worse. So, please remember, take time to rest when you truly need it. That's essential for every factor of your health and happiness.
Soon, I begin to run Through the beautiful Paradise before me Unrestrained and boundless, I am free
Hi! I'm here with a small blog update today.
I LOVE this picture of Zenny and Bell! It's so rare that our kitty girls do anything together, much less rest beside one another. So, this particular picture isn't just adorable; it also represents an unlikely, but sweet moment between our favorite girl cats. And for that, this recent picture already has a special place in my heart.
Selfless sacrifice Always remember and know Their brave legacy
Thank you so much to all our veterans and active soldiers for their service. You are loved, cared for, and appreciated. Again, thank you for your service. It means more than words could ever say. 💜
Wake up with a spring in your step, a sparkle in your eye, and a flame burning in your heart, for today is a brand new day. And tomorrow will be another day, another chance to start anew and make the most of life. So, look forward to the future and hold hope within you every single day.
I felt like doing a more chill, lax version of my Feline Friday feature today, so this post will have a cat themed poem I wrote, and as always, cute kitty pictures.
With the holidays coming up, I’m sure many of us have already started shopping for presents or are going to start soon. Of course, we always want to find the perfect gifts for the people we love the most, but with all of us having different wants and interests, that can be difficult to accomplish. So, I’ve compiled a list of some of the best geeky gifts on Amazon to help with your holiday shopping. Hopefully, this list will help you find just the right present for the special geeks in your life.
Transfixed, my gaze meets The gleaming crystalline sea And I become lost
