I was nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award by Rising Star of the Ideal Inspiration blog. From what I know, it isn't an official award; it's meant more to honor and inspire bloggers in their writing journey. But honestly, I think awards like this have more meaning, and I'm incredibly grateful to Rising Star for nominating me.
Beneath it all, Something lurks, Ancient and powerful No one knows, They haven't seen what sleeps Under the vibrant coral reefs

It creeps from the furthest corners, The ones swathed in raven black shadows It lurches forward, beady scarlet eyes leering It rears towards me, stained razor sharp fangs Disguised by a familiar face
In today's world, we all face some form of negativity from time to time. I firmly believe responding to that negativity with positivity, is the best way to combat it. Treating negativity with more negativity only breeds more anger, frustration, dissatisfaction, and hate. Meanwhile, wielding positivity helps to spread kindness and love.
Fear of being harmed again, But blind hope for a miracle, too A disaster waiting to happen, Perhaps
Regardless, I'll continue to love, Adoring you and all that you are, Constantly

Today is Valentine's Day, a holiday perfect for showing your loved ones they're valued and cherished. Of course, our beloved cats, dogs, and other fur babies deserve to be appreciated and loved, too. We may not be completely satisfied in life, but it's important to value what we do have. Doing so allows us to acknowledge and appreciate the positive things, which typically outweigh the negative ones greatly. In turn, this leads to a more healthy, positive mindset all the time.
My review of 'The Empties,' a horror graphic novel.
Won't you have a little bite Of the poison apple, my dear?
This made me think, animals truly are some of life’s greatest comforts. Not all of my cats are cuddlers, but they still express concern in different ways. They'll give me a little nuzzle, a tiny headbutt, a few leg rubs here and there. Those small actions never fail to warm my heart and soothe my soul.

Four walls stand tall, Imprisoning me for an eternity
My review of the audiobook version of 'Craven Street,' by E.J. Stevens.
Mistakes are a critical part of life. They can certainly result in negative consequences, but mistakes are important learning experiences. However, we should use those experiences to grow, learn, and improve ourselves.
