The ghoulish cackling Grows ever closer, follow Along to your doom
Deep underneath dark, churning ocean waves, Abyssal void opens to welcome him The ancient god rises once again
I know many of us have had to deal with teasing and harassment over the hobbies we dearly love. People may say you're "too old" to participate in certain hobbies. They may accuse you of being silly and childish for doing so. But, just remember, you should never feel ashamed of your hobbies. They are part of you and make up who you are as a person. Don't feel ashamed, embarrassed, or sorry for the things you love. Continue doing what you love, always.
Golden moon gleams bright Beast howls, writhing in torment Metamorphosis
I just wanted to give you all a quick update on the blog and what I'll be working on over the next several days.
As you step through the oak door, Its hinges shrilly creaking, The cycle begins again
At the current pace of today's world, it's so important to remember our own health and take time for ourselves every once in a while. And I think cats are a great example of what this looks like. They sleep and rest all throughout the day, every day, and while many of us may not have the luxury to do quite that, we can still learn a valuable lesson from our fur babies.
It's okay to still be planning and thinking about the future. It's alright to still be figuring things out. We all go through life at our own pace. So, take all the time you need and take life on at your own pace. Rest assured, you'll have everything figured out when you're ready to be at that point.
Melodic voice rings Out across the sapphire sea, Welcoming your doom
Within the depths of A churning emerald sea, Madness awakens
Fall is easily my favorite season of all, with an abundance of activities I adore. However, my favorite activity may be settling down with my family and cats to watch a creepy movie perfect for Halloween. Not only do I get to watch a spooktacular horror movie, I get to do so with my favorite people and fur babies around me.
Horrific nightmares plaguing The mind with a ruse Of sickly sweet innocence
Even on the toughest days, remember that you're not alone. Other people are there for you and care about you, even if you don't realize it. There will always be those who love and care for you. There will always be those who understand what you're going through. Forever hold onto that knowledge and know that you are both supported and loved.
'Corpse Party' is a series I'd heard about for a long time, being a big fan of horror video games. However, the games were only available on Steam and PS Vita for a long time, and I didn't have access to either back then. A few years ago, I was browsing 3DS video games on Amazon, when I saw that a remake of the original 'Corpse Party' was available for pre-order. I ended up being gifted the game that same year for Christmas, and of course, started playing it right away. Did it live up to all the hype, though? I certainly think so. There are several key reasons why the game is so good, a few of which I'll be going over in this post. Read on to find out more!
I know we still have a while to go until Halloween, but I'm just wondering, do you dress up your pets for the occasion? Or have you ever done so? I'd love to put cute costumes on my kitties, but they would be so mad, haha. It's super fun to think about different costume themes and ideas for the cats, though.
Bleak night, frigid air The corpses tear through damp dirt Cackling ghouls gather
You're amazing and beautiful just as you are. There isn't any other person in the world quite like you, and that's a truly wonderful aspect of life. So, know who you are and be at peace with who that person is. Be happy and confident in your own skin, for you're already the perfect you.
This post is part of the Blog Brew, a monthly collaboration between eight other amazing bloggers and myself where we cover various topics each month. Our theme for October is 'Halloween', and accordingly, we all have some spooky fun to serve up for this horrifically charming season.
I decided to combine my love of cats and Halloween for today's Feline Friday post! And how did I do that, you might ask? By writing a poem about spooky kitties and all the mischief they get up to on Halloween night!
Ghouls snicker, ghosts wail Crimson moon gleams, the wolf howls Witches cackle
Your words are a beautiful, but unattainable dream Wisps of promise that forever haunt me
You're a beautiful, amazing, talented, and unique person. Without a doubt, you are worthy of kindness, love, and everything positive in this world. You are deserving and worthwhile. You are so much more than your flaws. So, never believe that you're unworthy or only seen for your imperfections.
The place you will forever Know as home, The labyrinth entrapping your soul
I'm a bit late with this, since Remember Me Thursday was yesterday, September 24. But, I think the mission of this movement is one that's very important all year round. So, I'd like to take a moment to talk about exactly what that goal is and share my own adoption stories.
Shades of love shine bright Hues of our hearts paint the sky, Your colors and mine
This is a post to commemorate a very special milestone for my blog, and to thank all of you!
Head out the door with a smile and a sparkle in your eye. Because you’ve got this. This is going to be a wonderful day. Even if everything doesn’t go quite as you planned or hoped, make the most of this day. For each day is both a blessing and a chance for you to shine.
'White Day: A Labyrinth Named School,' for Android, iOS, PC, and PlayStation 4, is actually a remake of the original 'White Day' video game from 2001. Although I didn't have a chance to play the original, I happened to see the remake available on Amazon for pre-order one day. I was immediately intrigued; I was so drawn in by the game's description and screenshots. Plus, we don't have a ton of Asian horror video games being localized for overseas audiences, so it's always great to see a new one. So, I just had to pre-order the game, and I'm so glad I did!
I know my Feline Friday posts are typically on the lighter, carefree side, but today, I'd like to talk about a more serious issue. With both the fall season and Halloween quickly approaching, I feel it's an important one to address. You know that old superstition about black cats bringing misfortune if you cross their path? Please, please, don't buy into that. They're sweet, precious, and beautiful creatures that deserve to be treated with love, kindness, and respect. Like any other domestic animal, they deserve to have loving forever homes, with humans who will always care for and protect them.
Among tangled vines, The pumpkins of autumn bloom New season begins
Please don't be upset with people for not responding right away. Things are very, very hard right now, and all of us are being affected differently. Please be understanding and patient with your loved ones. Please show them respect, kindness, and love. The world needs these things now more than ever before.
Point your finger and blame another again, It's a twisted game you only play to win
To all those who have fur babies, I'm just wondering, do they go after any and every bug they find? I ask this because my kitties always go wild whenever they find an insect in the house, especially flying ones. The day turns from peaceful to our cats stampeding around all over the house and us frantically trying to shield our faces as we inevitably get caught in the crossfire.
Reflection wavers, Forced to hide the truth inside Free it for yourself
Be one of the reasons that an employee smiles today, and any other day you happen to be around workers. Make sure they know they're truly appreciated, that they're more than just their job. And remember, whether you're a crafter, artist, author, teacher, clerk, waiter/waitress, banker, or something else, you are seen and appreciated. Thank you for all the work you do.
You may feel like all your hard work doesn't count towards anything. You may think your hobbies are unproductive and a waste of time. But, your hobbies are completely valid as long as you enjoy them. Something doesn't have to be productive to be worthwhile. And although it may not always feel like it, your work is appreciated. Somewhere in the world, there are people who care about what you do and the effort you put into it. Just remember, the things you do, the hobbies you enjoy, and the work you create, it all matters.
I'm a huge fan of the original 'Luigi's Mansion' game for GameCube. It's one of my all time favorites on any game system, and I truly never tire of playing it. I enjoyed the 3DS port of it immensely as well. This title was a significant part of my childhood; I played it for hours and hours, even coming back to replay the entire game a few different times. So, I was super excited for 'Dark Moon' to come out! But, did the game hold up to my high expectations?
Run from the shadows That follow, inky tendrils Reaching for your soul
For today's Feline Friday post, I decided to do something a bit different! I recently discovered an awesome graphic design website called Stencil, and since then, I've been creating all kinds of little activity sheets. So, I made a special word jumble just for Feline Friday!
The season of life Where I feel most at home Lovely autumn days, Lifting my spirits And making my soul sing
As long as we keep the flame of hope lit, it will continue shining and illuminating the path forward. We are the ones who keep hope alive, so if we continue to believe in it, hope will exist. Always remember, there is still hope.
I'll believe in hope, Grasping its light in my hands Always, I'll keep on fighting
Lone lotus blooms in A still pond, sapphire surface Untouched by darkness
It's a bird, it's a plane… No, it's Super Bell!

Reality shining through As threads of sanity come undone Every emotion, just a practiced mask I adorn In the twisted masquerade called life
Don't compare other people's productivity and progress to your own. Both are going to be different for different people. Don't feel bad because you're seemingly not accomplishing as much as others. We all have to navigate life in our way, at our own pace. Do that in a way that's comfortable and right for you.
'Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked' is actually a port of the 'Devil Survivor' DS game from 2009. The original was widely considered to be a great RPG video game, and the port version provides several enhancements upon it. Some of these improvements include new voice-acting and a brand new eighth chapter to explore. The game was well-received enough to warrant a 3DS port with new features, so you may be wondering, what exactly makes 'Devil Survivor' so good? Well, there are a few key reasons.
How many of us have bought fancy, expensive pet beds for our fur babies, just for them to completely ignore the actual bed in favor of random boxes and bags? Because I've definitely experienced this, and many times, at that. I've honestly lost count of all the pet beds we've bought over the years. I don't even remember where some of them are, at this point.
