The benevolent souls I once knew and adored Have twisted into something born of malevolence Where has their love gone?
Sprawling whiskers flare Around a coat of sleek fur Fluffy ears perk up Tiny toe beans trot about Just a few things I adore
As long as there is evil In the world, There will be good, A glimmering beacon, To combat it
Best not to cross a ghost Out and about on Halloween night You could experience quite a fright, Maybe the worst of your short mortal life
It may feel like your voice isn't being heard, like you as an individual don't matter in the scope of the world. Just know this. You do matter as a person, and your voice matters. You being here does make a difference in the world.
'Virtue's Last Reward' is the second installment in the hit 'Zero Escape' trilogy and is a follow-up to 'Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors'. Out of all the 3DS games in my collection, 'Virtue's Last Reward' is definitely one of my favorites. I loved the first 'Zero Escape' title, and the sequel certainly didn't disappoint. There are many reasons why 'Virtue's Last Reward' is such a great game; I'll be touching on just a few of the most important ones throughout this post.
Still breeze moves nothing Cherry blossoms coat the ground Shadow strikes through night
Cats are the masters of relaxation, as they spend most days basking in the sunlight, eating, and sleeping. Sometimes, we need to take a cue from the kitties around us and do as they do. Take a day or two just for yourself. Spend that time soaking up the sun by taking a nice walk around the neighborhood or just sunbathing in the yard at home. Use the day for cat naps and binging Netflix on the couch.
Trace along the murky bloodlines, Dip your fingers in the thick crimson liquid, Maybe you'll feel where the venom first seeped in
But perhaps, we can achieve eternity Through the memories and hearts Of our loved ones
Keep going and work to make the dreams you've always had into your reality. Have faith in yourself and your abilities. As long as you believe in yourself and your dreams, you can accomplish them someday.
Pain doesn't simply dissipate, Even if you label it as imaginary
It's time for another Blog Brew Collab post! This is a bit different from what I normally post for my Feline Friday feature, but I thought I'd go ahead and combine it with our Collab for this month. The Blog Brew theme for July is 'summer,' and my post is over cat themed outfits that are perfect for summer!
The sight should be beautiful But, it only dredges up A bittersweet pain, The inescapable sorrow of parting
I feel as if I'm caught in a blizzard, Vision obscured by translucent tears, Body shivering for warmth, Sinking into the deep snow, One step at a time
Cocoon me in your gentle arms, love Protect me from this horrific nightmare of a world, Holding me as a transformation overtakes
Your progress might seem small; it might be exponential. But, the important thing is that you're making progress. You're putting in the time and effort to better your life, no matter what form that improvement might take. Always remember that you're doing great and progressing at a pace that suits you.
My first foray with 'Silent Hill' was through its sixth game, 'Silent Hill: Homecoming.' Even though I'd heard a lot about the series, I didn't really know what to expect from 'Homecoming.' It ended up being a terrifying, engrossing, and enjoyable experience for me. It gets a bad rap from some fans, but I'm glad 'Homecoming' was my introduction to the series.
This poem was inspired by one of my favorite games from 2019, "Devil May Cry V." I loved just about every aspect of this game; the characters, story, gameplay, controls, etc.
Last week, we had to take one of our kitties to the vet. It doesn't matter what the visit is for; it could be for a routine checkup or a round of vaccinations, and I'd still worry to no end. We've been fortunate enough that we haven't had to take our cats to the vet very often, and they're all typically in fair health. But, I think it's more the possibility that something could be wrong. It's the chance that the veterinarian will discover a health issue, or that something will go wrong during the visit.
Disappointment has become my most beloved friend, Offering nothing but bittersweet pain And inevitable ruin
You may be suffering through something that makes you feel hurt, isolated, and alone. But, there will always be others who have gone through the same thing, or are currently going through it. There will always be other people who understand and appreciate you, even if they're not close by. They are with you in spirit, always. So, you are never truly alone.
Beautiful blue moon, Reflected in your dim eyes, So dark and tranquil
An island, crafted from Broken memories and Bittersweet dreams, Lone sanctuary for those Stumbling in the dim darkness
I find it really interesting how cats interact with different people and animals. Of course, kitties have unique personalities and traits, just like humans do. But, they respond to different people in such a wide range of ways.
Precious little lightning bug, Forever and always, I love you
Always do what is right. Make decisions and choose words you truly believe in. Even when other people try to convince you otherwise, follow your heart and do what you know is right.
So, what makes 'Yo-kai Watch' such a good video game? A great many things! The Yo-kai designs are cute, original, and oftentimes, clever. The combat system is surprisingly strategic and requires a lot of thought, especially with boss battles. The game's sense of humor is fun and leads to many great moments. Both children and adults will be able to connect with it. Now, let's delve deeper into what makes 'Yo-kai Watch' a great video game!
I think fireworks are beautiful, and I enjoy seeing them. However, the noise they make is very very loud. And my cats really don't like loud, sudden noises. Needless to say, the Fourth of July isn't their favorite holiday.
Simple acts of kindness, What we must do to fight this
I will still post on a regular basis and keep the blog active. I'm going to do that on a smaller scale, though. I'm thinking that I'll aim for four to five posts a week and see how that works. I definitely want to keep my feature posts, including Monday Motivation, Feline Friday, and CIB Sunday. That should leave room for one to two poetry posts every week.
Do your part to spread kindness and make the world a better place. It may not seem like these simple steps can do much, but treating people with respect and consideration can do wonders. Positive actions like these have an infinite amount of power and possibility behind them.
Now, I just try to survive From day to day, Precious dreams kept at bay
I looked over to see Zenny in a deep sleep with her head resting on an orange fish toy. She looked so peaceful and relaxed laying like that; it was incredibly endearing! It was a simple, but sweet moment to start the morning with, and it helped brighten my day. I hope these pictures of Zen can brighten your day, too!
A gallery of Harrowing horrors Eagerly awaits
Mind without color Darkness infects my soul as Void swallows me whole
You, as you are in this very moment, are more than enough, and that will not change. You’ll always be a special, unique person who is worthwhile and deserving of all the best in life. Remember, you deserve to be here, living life the way you choose to.
'Eternal Sonata' is a role-playing (RPG) video game developed by Tri-Crescendo and published by BANDAI NAMCO. It was made exclusively for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, with many unique mechanics and systems never before used in RPG video games. The official description of this game also mentions that 'Eternal Sonata' was created to be the RPG game fans and next-gen gamers had been waiting for. So, does it live up to that promise? I would say so.
Today is Father’s Day here in the United States! So, I’d like to take a moment to thank all dads on their special day.
Silk strings lacing throughout my mind Are the only remainders of the spider and its journey
If you’ve ever shopped on Amazon for cat products, you may have seen various Kitan Club Cat Caps for sale. They’re basically little bonnet-like hats for your kitties to wear, and they come in a blind box, or mystery, format. Well, I’ve been eyeing these bonnets for a long time now, and I finally decided to take the plunge and buy one (much to the chagrin of my cats). I chose to go with Kitan Club’s “Aquarium” series.
Through seasons present and past, I walk on, gripping your hand The two of us, Surviving together
Innocence shed in the bleak realization Of a night without end
Remember to look out for one another. These are tough times, and as people, one of the best things we can possibly do is support each other. Be kind. Raise each other up, rather than tear each other down.
How wonderful, the delicious profile Of the human soul
The picture rests atop a pristine ivory canvas, Strokes of ebony ink rippling across its surface, Shallow raven black streams that weave together An ornate portrait of a not so distant past Within its little hidden details, the story Of a once happy family slowly unravels
So, you know that Feline Friday post from several weeks ago? The one with Karma sitting on a puzzle, just like he put it together all by himself? Well, I'm very happy to say that I'm doing another post over my cats and puzzles today!
Well, I'm 23 years old today! I'm grateful just to be alive right now. And I'm looking forward to having a nice, relaxing day at home with my family! I'm hoping to do some activities I enjoy too, like reading and playing video games. However the day goes, I'm just happy to be here with my family and friends.
Remember, it's always okay to take a break if you need to. Taking care of your personal health and well-being is very, very important; that should always come first. If you need to take a step back from social media, if you need to tune out of the news, if you need to just take a moment for yourself, then feel free to do so.
Check out this amazing post! It’s so fun and clever; I really enjoyed reading it! It was also inspired by my Feline Friday post from last week. Read on, and remember to take a cue from the cats! 😸
Inspired by Introverted Creativity
With everything going on in the world right now, things have been very stressful and anxiety-inducing for most of us. Those negative emotions can build up and build up, to the point they impact our mental health and quality of life. As such, we need to pay more attention to our mental, emotional, and physical health than ever before.…..
From this cat
Maybe, from even this cat
But surely not this or that cat!
Remember, tis better to take a ‘Cue from a Cat‘ than to take it from a Q-tip any day! Especially if you have earwax.
I've been thinking about some things in relation to my CIB Sunday feature here on the blog. To that end, I made a Twitter poll asking if people would also be interested in seeing Xbox One and PlayStation 4 video games, even though they often include less materials (they typically don't have instruction booklets, extra manuals, etc.). I'll have the link to the Twitter poll included below, and if you don't have Twitter, I'm going to include a poll here on WordPress as well. It would really help me out if you vote, and I'd appreciate it so much. Thank you!
